A man who was reported as missing after attending a wedding celebration was found safe in an unexpected place in Malaysia. The confrontation occurred in Kampung Sira village in Padawan, Sarawak, and briefly prompted a search in which firefighters, police, family members, and local residents joined in.

The man was reported missing on the night before he attended a wedding ceremony in a church in the village, according to local reports. He stayed on the scene for some time and then suddenly vanished, leaving his family bewildered. Family members were unable to locate him and later contacted the authorities for assistance.
Search Operation Begins
A spokesperson from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department’s Operations Center said the department received an emergency call about the missing person at 4.39am. The team from the Siburan Fire and Rescue Station subsequently went to the site of the incident for further investigations.
Two firefighters travelled to the village in a Toyota Hilux vehicle and arrived at about 5.14 am. Preparations were then made to begin a search operation. Authorities also gathered information from relatives and witnesses to understand the circumstances surrounding the man’s disappearance.
Left for a toilet break
Initial investigations found that the missing man was the brother-in-law of the person who filed the report. Witnesses said he had been eating and drinking at the wedding before leaving to use the toilet.

However, he did not return afterwards. As more time passed without any sign of him, family members became worried and alerted emergency services. Plans were made for a wider search involving police officers, villagers, and rescue personnel.
Found Safe Nearby
Before the search operation could fully begin, villagers discovered the man at around 6am. To everyone’s surprise, he was found asleep beside a washing machine at a neighbor’s house.
Authorities later confirmed that he was safe and had not suffered any injuries. After checking his condition, officials decided not to take any further action.
The search operation was officially called off at 6.09am. The missing person case ended peacefully after villagers found the man only a short distance from where he had last been seen.
