A bright planet lineup after sunset drew attention across Singapore after a Reddit post showed Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, and the crescent Moon forming an arc in the evening sky.

The image quickly sparked discussion, with users trying to identify the objects and confirm what they were seeing.
“Saw it during my run”
Some locals shared casual sightings of the same view. One user wrote that they “saw them during my run today” but couldn’t capture a clear photo, later asking what the other bright objects were.

Another reply identified them as Castor and Pollux, the twin stars in the Gemini constellation.
Planets in order
One commenter identified the order from top to bottom as Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, and the Moon. The post was described by the original uploader as simply “serendipitous.”
A recent familiar sky pattern
Experienced skywatchers pointed out that the planets have been visible for weeks, depending on sky conditions. One user added that Venus and Jupiter were previously within Gemini and are now shifting toward Leo.

They also noted that these planets “wander” across the sky regularly, making the scene more common than it appears. Some users recommended using stargazing apps to identify planets and constellations in real time.
