In Thailand’s Mueang Chiang Rai District, a young man performed a hard rescue in a heavy storm after hearing some faint cries coming through a drain at the side of the road. The accident occurred because heavy rainwater poured onto the premises, leaving hazardous situations.
Posting under @uchihaso on TikTok, he man paused to investigate the cause of the movement when he detected movement inside the dark drain, although it was dangerous.
Rescue in Rising Water
On further examination, he found that a few of the little kittens were caught in the swift-flowing water. The animals were finding it hard to keep their heads above the water.
The man immediately entered the drain and, holding onto them, started to pull them out one by one. The electricity rendered maintaining his balance difficult, but he proceeded with caution.
He was able to save three kittens first. He was wet, cold, and shaking, and he laid them on safer ground. The man made it slow to prevent any harm to them and, at the same time, ensured that they were not in danger.
One Kitten Yet A-Trapped
On drawing out the three kittens, he again examined the drain and found another inside the pipe. The fourth kitten was lodged in a smaller hole where the water was deeper. The man could not approach it without difficulty, and, in his difficulty, he found a long stick in his vicinity, which would lead the animal nearer.
Several more minutes he took in making attempts to reach the kitten. The water kept on gushing, and this made the issue even more complex. He was later in a position to bring the kitten to a position where he could easily pull it out of the drain. And thus, all the four kittens had been safely taken out of the flooded place.
Safe Inside Shelter
The man then took the kittens to his house in order to keep them out of the rain and wind. Indoors, he dried them with a gentle towel to warm their bodies and dry their fur. Gradually the shaking ceased as the kittens grew dry and at ease.
He then put them in a box with soft materials to enable them to rest. As per the story, the kittens are currently recuperating well. They are eating and are moving about more as they are getting back their strength after the incident.
