A homeless man and his cat have drawn attention along Shaw Boulevard in Metro Manila. The pair is often seen sitting outside a Mandaue Foam store, where they spend most of their time. Despite his situation, the man appears closely bonded with his pet cat, named Ubs.

People passing by have noticed the pair in recent days. The man, known locally as Kuya, is usually seated on the roadside with a few belongings beside him. These include a water bottle, two small bags, and a pet carrier. Observers say he often rests in the same spot near the store.
A Quiet Life on the Street
Kuya is believed to sleep outside the store along Shaw Boulevard. He does not appear to have a permanent home and stays with only basic items. His daily routine is simple, and he spends much of his time sitting quietly by the roadside.

The presence of his cat has caught the attention of many people. Ubs, a small brown cat, is often seen sitting on Kuya’s lap or resting close to him. The man is seen gently holding and caring for the animal throughout the day.
Strong Bond Between Man and Cat
Witnesses have observed that Kuya does not keep the cat locked inside the carrier at all times. Instead, the cat moves freely and stays close to him. The carrier appears to be used mainly for safety when needed.

Many people have pointed out that the cat looks clean and healthy. This has surprised some passersby, given the man’s limited resources. The way Kuya interacts with Ubs suggests that he takes time to care for the animal despite his living conditions.
Public Attention Growing
The situation has drawn quite a lot of attention from people in the area. Some individuals have approached the man to offer small forms of help. Others simply stop to observe the interaction between Kuya and his cat.

Kuya and Ubs continue to stay outside the Mandaue Foam store along Shaw Boulevard. Their presence has become familiar to regular passersby in the area, as they remain together on the street each day.
