Mass Burial Held In Chitwan
A mass burial of unidentified victims of the deadly flooding took place in Chitwan as authorities continued recovering bodies.

Footage from the Devghat forest shows personnel in protective suits transporting covered bodies, unloading them from vehicles and carrying them to a mass burial site.
Bodies Decomposing Rapidly
The decision was taken because the bodies were decomposing rapidly and keeping them exposed posed a public health risk, according to media reports.

A mudslide struck Gyirong Port on August 26 after an ice-rock avalanche originating from a high-altitude glacier in Nepal triggered the disaster.
Thousands Still Missing
Over 1200 people were reported killed and an estimated 4,500 people remain missing, while nearly 12,000 people have been rescued.
