High Profile Court Fight Begins
Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has taken serious legal action against popular comedian Harith Iskander. The 74-year-old wife of Malaysia’s former Prime Minister Najib Razak officially filed a defamation lawsuit at the Kuala Lumpur High Court.
She targets the veteran entertainer for mocking her physical appearance and damaging her public standing during a live stage gig. Rosmah is deeply unhappy that the actor used her face to make the crowd laugh at her personal expense.

Spooky Ghost Comparison Sparks Legal Clash
Legal documents reveal that the incident took place during a stand-up gig in Melaka on January 17. Harith put up pictures of scary local folklore ghosts like the pontianak right before flashing a photo of Rosmah.
The comedy act told theatergoers that catching her reflection in a car rearview mirror at night would terrify anyone. Rosmah feels this terrible comparison paints her as a frightening monster who panics everyday citizens. She claims these targeted jokes were highly insulting to her body and public image.

Internet Video Clips Cause More Damage
Things got much worse when audience members secretly filmed the routine. Two snippets quickly landed on TikTok under a private handle, collecting views of 219,000 and 12,500 respectively.
Rosmah says these online uploads completely ruined her dignity as a prominent woman who leads major charity groups and holds international honors. She is now demanding massive financial damages alongside a full written apology splashed across national newspapers and digital platforms.

Comedian Fights All Legal Accusations
Harith hit back by filing a strong defense statement denying every single claim. The 60-year-old icon insists his stand-up set never labeled the political figure as ugly, evil, or subhuman.
His lawyers argue the entire bit was just lighthearted creative expression protected by free speech laws. They also stress that the internet recordings were published entirely without his knowledge or consent. The two camps will face off during an online court session on July 31.
