In a TikTok video, two best friends began their challenge at 8 a.m. with one goal, to walk across Singapore from north to south.

Starting at Woodlands North, they planned a route that would take them through the island before ending at Marina South Pier.

The first part of the walk was probably the toughest for the two friends. It was a longer day than anticipated at Woodlands, as much of it was dedicated to getting out of the area.

The trip into the Rail Corridor was more pleasant. They had lunch at Springleaf Prata, rested and proceeded towards Bukit Timah.

Exploring Nature Before Reaching The City

The journey took the friends to explore Singapore in another light, from the lush greenery to the bustling city streets. These went through the Rail Corridor, Singapore Botanic Gardens, enjoying the quieter environment before returning to the urban environment.

The long distance was beginning to take its toll when they arrived at Orchard Road. Their energy was running lower, but they continued towards the city centre and Marina Bay area.

Completing The North To South Challenge

The final stretch brought them past Marina Bay Sands before they finally reached Marina South Pier.

The 37-kilometre walk was not an easy challenge. Tiredness and sore feet and an unplanned fall were part of the journey. Regardless, it was worth the trip from Woodlands to Singapore’s south end.

The two friends walked around 58,000 steps by the end of the day and walked the entire length from the north to the south of Singapore. Some viewers even encouraged them to try a west to east route next, while others joked about turning the challenge into a walking club.
