A young woman has gone viral on TikTok after revealing her first time riding around Singapore for fun. The trip to get coffee quickly turned into a trip of misguided routes, wrong turns, and minor injuries.
In the video, she revealed that she just randomly decided to go for a bike ride to get coffee. It was initially fun and exciting for her as she explored various trails and enjoyed the views along the way.
She also noted buildings and architecture that she found beautiful on the way. She didn’t always use Google Maps but instead relied on her sense of direction—and eventually, she found herself back at places she’d traveled through earlier.
Small problems slowly added up
As they went along, more issues began to emerge. During the ride, her slipper ripped off, and she admitted that her toes were bleeding after getting off the bike. The video also revealed she stopped at a 7-Eleven to freshen herself up before heading on.

At the end of the video, she said she was beaten and joked that she should have followed Google Maps from the start. She also questioned whether Singapore was as bike-friendly as she had anticipated.
Singaporeans had plenty to say
The comments section soon got flooded with responses from Singaporeans, who mostly supported the cycling infrastructure there and also acknowledged that sometimes it can be confusing.

Some users noted that Singapore is overall a cycle-friendly city when riders do their part in following cycling maps and routes. Some locals even joked about their occasional confusion, as certain paths and connectors can be quite perplexing.

Some commenters also advised her to stay off the bike in slippers, as it was dangerous from the start. Others, however, were more concerned with the emotional impact of the failed coffee mission.
