A woman in Thailand was struck with a gun by her husband after waking him up for breakfast, resulting in a head injury that required four stitches.

The incident, which occurred on April 23, 2025, in Kalasin Province, has left the woman determined never to live with her husband again.
A Violent Argument Turns Physical
According to Workpoint News, Vanit, a 43-year-old woman, has been living with her husband for over a year. The couple does not have a child together, but Vanit has 5 children from her previous relationships.
That morning, she woke her husband up for a meal. This simple gesture suddenly led to a physical altercation.

Flee to Aunt’s House for Safety
Fearing for her safety, Vanit fled to her aunt’s house to escape the escalating confrontation.
However, her husband followed her and struck her in the head with a gun, causing a deep wound that required stitches.
No Police Report Yet, But Family Encourages Doing So
Based on local reports, Vanit has yet to file a police report against her husband, but her relatives urged her to take legal action, as this is not the first time physical violence has taken place in their relationship.

Despite the abuse, Vanit expressed her willingness to forgive her husband, only if he performs a traditional Buddhist ritual of apology, known as the “Khan Ha.”
This ritual involves offering five items and bowing to express sincere remorse.
Though she was willing to forgive him, Vanit was insistent that she would never live with her husband again.
Aunt Confirms Frequent Arguments the Couple Had
Vanit’s 61-year-old aunt, who witnessed the incident, confirmed that the couple had frequent arguments.
On this occasion, the altercation became physical inside her home, with Vanit’s husband using a gun to strike Vanit in the head.

Though she is unaware if any drugs are involved, she believes that Vanit’s marriage with her husband had reached a breaking point and that reconciliation is no longer possible.
Father-in-law Expressed Disappointment in Son’s Behavior
In addition to this, Vanit’s father-in-law expressed his deep disappointment with his son’s actions, stating that despite previous attempts to guide him away from criminal activities, his son remains unchanged.
He shared that his son, who has a criminal record, failed to change even after serving time in jail. He had repeatedly warned his son to avoid breaking the law, using violence, and avoiding drugs, but these efforts were of no use.
Her father-in-law said that his son’s behavior left little hope for change.
