Kuala Lumpur Incident
On 6 April, a viral video shocked many drivers after a car moved against traffic on Jalan Klang Lama. The wrong-way driver created a dangerous moment on one of the busiest roads in Kuala Lumpur. People who watched the clip felt worried as the car passed other vehicles without stopping.

According to a video, the driver continued along the wrong lane for several seconds. The situation quickly gained attention online. Police later confirmed that the driver surrendered on the same night and officers arrested him soon after.
Police Investigation Update
The driver went to the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department office at 8:35 pm. Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa shared the details with Berita Harian.

Officers tested the suspect using a breathalyser and urine screening. Both tests showed negative results for alcohol and drugs. According to a video, the driver did not show signs of panic while driving. Early findings suggest he made a wrong turn while heading to Mid Valley Megamall, which led to the incident.
Wrong Turn Details
Police said the incident happened at around 9.44 am along a 500-meter stretch of Jalan Klang Lama. The location sits between the Jalan Sepadu junction and the Jalan Kuchai Lama junction. This road usually has heavy traffic, which made the mistake riskier. Police first received information about the viral clip at 11.38am. After that, officers started efforts to identify and trace the driver. At that time, no official report had been filed, which slowed the early investigation process.
Court Action Soon
Officers later visited the driver’s home but could not find him there. After some time, the man chose to surrender himself to the police.

Authorities are now investigating the case under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. The suspect is expected to face charges at the Jalan Duta court at 9am. The viral video continues to spread online as many people follow updates about the case.
