Art and collectables unite

ToyCon Seoul 2026 opened at COEX in Seoul’s Gangnam district on Thursday, bringing together hundreds of artists, brands and creators for four days of collectable culture.
This year’s fair has joined forces with street and urban art festival URBAN BREAK under the theme ‘PLAY WITH ARTIST’, merging art toys, graffiti, pop culture and designer brands under one roof.

Visitors enjoy the experience

Footage shows excited visitors posing for photographs, meeting artists and exploring packed booths on the opening day.
“ToyCon is quite fun! The people here are friendly, and I’ve met various artists. The diversity of artworks makes for a really interesting experience,” said attendee Kowei.

“This is my second year here. The event has grown so much since last year, feeling more vibrant with many international visitors. As an artist, I’m thrilled to see an art toy fair like this being established in Korea,” added another visitor, Lee Sung-joon.

The emphasis is firmly on designer culture, with limited-edition art toys, vinyl figures and independent sculptures replacing the traditional children’s toys found at conventional fairs.
Dedicated artist booths fill the venue alongside the Toy Village marketplace, exclusive releases and live stage panels.

Global brands draw collectors

International brands are also drawing collectors. Japan’s Instinctoy is offering exclusive pieces on a first-come, first-served basis, while Thailand’s Zendio Dawa is presenting collaborations with creators.
Running until August 2, ToyCon Seoul brings street art, gaming merchandise and designer intellectual property together in the heart of the South Korean capital.
