Thousands Join Meditation Day
About 1,500 monks and Buddhist devotees packed Wat Phra Dhammakaya in Thailand on Sunday for ‘World Meditation Day’.
Footage shows worshippers filling the vast meditation hall for sermons, prayers and acts of devotion.

“Today, Luang Por Thamma, the Temple Chief Abbot, has arranged for both monks and lay people to have the opportunity to practise Dharma together,” said a senior monk at Dhammakaya Temple.
Peace Through Inner Calm
“The true happiness that everyone is seeking is the happiness that comes from practising meditation, calming and stilling our minds according to the teachings of the Lord Buddha,” he added.

The annual event encouraged people in Thailand and across the world to meditate together under the theme ‘world peace through inner peace’.
Buddhist Devotion At Temple
Wat Phra Dhammakaya, one of Thailand’s largest Buddhist temples, is famous for its striking mass meditation ceremonies, drawing thousands of worshippers from Thailand and overseas.
