Singapore PM Arrives In Kazan
Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong received the iconic bread-and-salt welcome as he landed in Kazan on Wednesday for the upcoming Russia-ASEAN Summit.
Footage shows Tatarstan Republic Head Rustan Minnikhanov greeting Wong with traditional treats – fried chak-chak and the karavai bread.
Focus On Russia-ASEAN Summit
The Russia-ASEAN Summit is taking place on June 17-19 in Kazan.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations comprises 11 members: Brunei, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines and Timor-Leste.
