A TikTok photo post by @cozyrathole has taken off online after highlighting something many Scoot passengers may have overlooked despite flying with the airline multiple times — the names of its aircraft.
The post, shared recently on TikTok, compiled a list of Scoot planes and their official names, revealing a mix of jokes, puns and playful phrases that left viewers amused.
“Bet you flew Scoot many times but have you noticed these funny names,” the creator wrote.
From “Bo Jio” to “Getting Lei’d”
Among the names featured were “Bo Jio”, “Goin’ Scootin’”, “Big Yella Fella” and “Getting Lei’d”.
Others leaned into Scoot’s yellow branding, with names such as “The Future Is Yellow”, “Little Miss Sunshine”, “Ray of Sunshine” and “Yellow There”.

Several aircraft also carried travel-themed names, including “Travel Kaki”, “Jalan-Jalan”, “Singapoliday” and “Have a Scoot Day”.
Some references appeared uniquely Singaporean.
One aircraft was named “Huat Ah!”, while another was called “Ong Lai”, the Hokkien term commonly associated with pineapples and prosperity.
There were also multilingual names such as “Jagiya”, “Chalo-Chalo”, “Kao Huang” and the Japanese phrase “Sugoi Ne!”
Pikachu Jet and Other Standouts
Some of the more unusual entries quickly caught viewers’ attention. One Boeing 787-9 carries a Pokémon-themed livery and is named “Pikachu Jet”.
Others included “Chapati Party”, “Just Wing It!”, “Captain Yellow”, “Go Go Tamago” and “Home Scoot Home”.

A few names even sounded like inside jokes.
“KamaScootra”, “Scooti-mite” and “Mou-Scoot-ka” were among the more creative examples spotted in the list.
“I Always Note the Names Down”
The post quickly drew responses from people who admitted they pay attention to aircraft names whenever they fly.

One commenter said: “OMG I WAS JUST THINKING I WISH SOMEONE TRACKED THE SCOOT PLANE NAMES!! Always a necessity to take photo hahaha.”
Several commenters also began naming their favourites.

“mineeee 😂😂😂,” one person wrote while pointing to a particular aircraft.

Another singled out “The Future Is Yellow”, simply commenting: “The future is Yellow. 😳”
Turning Flights Into a Treasure Hunt
For some travellers, spotting the names has become part of the flying experience.

“I sat on Getting Lei’d and I thought it was hilarious. I always note the names down in my flight log,” one commenter shared.
Others were surprised to learn the names were real.

“omg is this legit, i cant wait for my flight now ahhahahahaah,” another wrote.
While most passengers probably focus on boarding gates, baggage allowances and seat numbers, the viral TikTok has reminded many Singaporeans that Scoot’s aircraft come with a playful personality of their own.
And judging from the comments, some travellers may be checking the plane name before their next flight just as eagerly as their destination.
Branding 101
The tourists and local fliers are actively sharing images of their aircraft circulating online, transforming regular flight tickets to thrilling games of activation roulette.

Whether winding up on “Scootalicious” or “Shoik Lah!”, Scoot’s amazing marketing campaign has proven to introduce localized humor in the simplest, yet eye-grabbing way to win over the internet and make air travel enjoyable.
