A Malaysian animal rescuer is asking for public support after her brother was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) and urgently needs brain surgery. In spite of a few personal problems, Mages still has over 100 rescued animals to care for, along with the daily duties.
Mages was seen sitting inside a cage, waiting for her delivery of canned food. She said she had the time to rest before getting the supplies. On the same day, five cartons of Snappy Tom and two cartons of Aristo canned food arrived to help restock supplies for the rescued animals under her care.
Family Faces Medical Challenges
Mages revealed that her family is currently going through a difficult period. She said Peter had recently undergone eye surgery and had also experienced a blood pressure reading of 210.
At the same time, her brother, Suresh, remains in the ICU after doctors discovered a blood clot in his brain following a fall last month. According to the appeal, he now requires urgent brain surgery. Mages said the situation has placed a heavy burden on her family as they try to manage both medical needs and their daily responsibilities.
Continuing Daily Rescue Work
Despite these challenges, Mages continues to look after more than 100 rescued animals at The Crib. She also helps with painting jobs to earn extra income while ensuring the animals receive food and care every day.
Supporters have launched a fundraising appeal to help cover Suresh’s brain surgery. Donations are being collected under the description “Donation for Suresh.” People who are unable to contribute financially have also been encouraged to keep Suresh in their thoughts and help share the appeal with others.
The appeal focuses on the challenges facing Mages trying to balance animal rescue with serious family medical issues. She is continuing to care for rescued animals daily while also trying to raise money to help her brother get the immediate medical attention he requires.
