According to reports, the situation began at around 8.30am. The children were near the school premises when a venomous snake moved close to where they were gathered. The snake’s presence created a serious risk, but it was not immediately noticed by the children.

Dog Intervenes Quickly

When the snake came near, Kali appeared to react. She charged at the snake and positioned herself in front of the children. She responded instinctively to danger, witnesses say. Kali then engaged the snake in a direct fight. Reports state that she was struck several times during the struggle but continued to confront the threat. The encounter lasted until the snake was eventually killed.

Fatal Injury Sustained

Although Kali removed the danger, she suffered injuries during the attack. The snake bit her on the mouth, and her condition worsened shortly after. According to local residents, the dog was dead, probably from venom.

The event has resonated with the community. Residents described Kali as a familiar presence in the area before the event. After her death, villagers gathered to arrange a farewell.

Community Pays Respect

In a rare gesture, the community organized a funeral procession for the dog. Villagers wrapped her body in white cloth and decorated it with flowers. Villagers participated in the procession. The attack has attracted attention beyond the community, with some commenting about the incident. All the children are safe, and no one has reported any injuries.
