Police have arrested a young man and a young woman in connection with the rescue of an abandoned newborn baby girl in Malaysia. The baby was found abandoned in a Surau parking lot in the Taman University area on 11 April. Later, an 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were detained to assist in the investigation of the incident.

They were arrested by the District Criminal Investigation Department at around 2:15 am local time on 14 April. Police said that initially no prior criminal records were found against them. At the same time, the results of the drug test also came back negative. The incident has created a huge sensation in the area, and there are concerns about the safety of the baby.
Newborn Rescue Incident
The incident began when a passerby heard the baby crying in the Surau parking lot. He then quickly reported the matter to the police. Police went to the scene and rescued the newborn baby girl wrapped in a towel. The baby’s umbilical cord had not yet been cut, which makes the matter even more sensitive.
