Police have arrested a Chinese man for allegedly harassing women on public transport in Malaysia. That 20-year-old Chinese national has been charged with multiple incidents. The latest incident took place near Kuchai MRT station, where he is accused of forcibly hugging a beautician.

Police said the victim, a 22-year-old woman, was walking along the station walkway when the accused suddenly hugged her from behind. Police quickly took action after the incident and arrested her. The matter has raised public concern.
Incident Details
According to the sources, the incident took place on 9 April, Thursday night. The victim was walking towards the toilet inside the station. The accused allegedly followed her. At one point, he came up from behind and hugged her.

The woman panicked. The incident was later reported to the police. The video or description of the incident quickly went viral.
Arrest and Investigation
Brickfields Police Chief Hoo Chang Hook said the accused was arrested at 8:10 pm on the same day. He is currently remanded and will be questioned until April 24. Police say that more information is being collected for the sake of the investigation.

At the same time, the accused’s past activities are also being investigated. It is being verified whether there is any other connection behind the incident. Therefore, details have not been released until the investigation is complete.
Legal Action
The incident is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code. If convicted under this section, a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison can be imposed. In addition, a fine and caning can be imposed.

In addition, the accused is also being investigated under Section 6(1) of the Immigration Act. Because he was not found with valid travel documents. As a result, multiple legal actions may be taken against him.
Second Incident
Meanwhile, another 19-year-old foreigner has also been arrested in a separate incident. He was caught on suspicion of harassing a female passenger on the Kelana Jaya LRT line. It is alleged that he was secretly taking upskirt photos. The passengers caught him and arrested him.

Later, the railway authorities handed him over to the police. Initial investigations have revealed that this individual may also be linked to a previous incident. As a result, both incidents are now being investigated seriously.
