An unusual incident happened when a wild monkey was caught on camera stealing an iced coffee drink directly from a parked vehicle. It would not be possible for the small animal to have taken the beverage without the help of a human. It was held in a public parking lot with several motorcycles.
Direct Beverage Theft
The animal was walking along a road, very quietly approaching a white scooter parked along the side of the road. There was a plastic bag with a cold cup of coffee directly in front of the handle of the vehicle. The monkey then grabbed the plastic straw from the bag using his mouth.

The primate didn’t drop the cup but instead leaned forward to drink the sweet liquid on the straw with his body on the seat. It kept sucking continuously for a couple of seconds, keeping its grip firmly on the plastic wrapper.
Staying Out of Sight
The wild animal was extremely cautious throughout the process. After taking a few sips of the drink, it immediately raised its head to check the surrounding area. Frequently scanned for oncoming traffic by looking left and right.

When it was very safe, the monkey went back to its mouth for a straw and took another drink. It did this many times to prevent detection by the car owner or someone who was close by with security duties.
Wildlife in the midst of the city
Wild animals may come into contact with human items in urban settings, where they find food sources nearby. Parks and green spaces are a favorite feeding ground for small creatures, as motorbikes are readily available.

The owner of the vehicle wasn’t around at the time of the incident, and the animal could go through the drink undisturbed. Observers who were not in the scene remotely reported that the animal appeared to be very experienced in human food packaging.
