Tehran Reviews Diplomatic Exchanges
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei confirmed that Tehran has submitted a response to the latest US proposals – and said Iran would also respond to the ‘slightest mistake’ from Washington- during a presser in the capital on Monday.

“From the day after we sent our views to the American side, through the Pakistani side, we received a series of proposals from the other party,” he told the media. “These have been reviewed over the past few days, and as announced yesterday, our views have been reciprocally reflected to the American side.”
The sides have reportedly exchanged proposals a number of times in recent weeks, although talks between the US and Iran have appeared to stall.
Araghchi Visit Focuses Bilateral Ties
Baqaei also spoke about the Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s trip to China: “The focus of discussions was on bilateral relations, because we have a very good relationship with China. The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership agreement between Iran and China is a crucial basis for cooperation in various fields.”

“In the current situation, we naturally have a greater focus on regional developments and the consequences of American lawlessness on international peace and security. Cooperation between Iran and China at the United Nations, including the Security Council, was on the agenda,” he added.
Ceasefire Holds Amid Maritime Tensions
A ceasefire is currently in place, although the Strait of Hormuz crisis continues, with Iran blocking the crucial waterway to ‘unfriendly’ nations – and the US blockading Iran’s ports.
Iran Pledges Reciprocal Response
“While we monitor all movements, we are certainly prepared for any eventuality,” ‘Baqaei added.

“At the negotiating table, regardless of these threats, we are focused on the interests of the Iranian nation and will proceed with our work. Rest assured regarding their threats. We know very well how to respond reciprocally to the slightest mistake from the other parties.”
