General Santos earthquakes have costed a total of 1 billion pesos during the earthquake. According to a recent PIDS research, many school infrastructures struggle with meeting basic safety standards, shortages in sanitation, digital access and electricity included. It unveils long-standing flaws of the country’s basic needs. The calamity serves as a reminder that security doesn’t need to compromise resilience in return, thus becoming an educational concern and issue of survival.

“Entire buildings have reportedly been leveled as widespread damage across the city. The images are rather devastating. One witness watched from a parking lot, crouched on the ground, and an entire building collapsed and was reduced to rubble. Please keep everyone in your thoughts” @ms.akie21shop commented.
