Gaza Hospital Strike
Injured people, mostly children, were rushed to Al-Shifa Hospital on Monday after an alleged Israeli airstrike near Al-Yemen Al-Sa’eed Hospital in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
“I was visiting a friend near Al-Yemen Al-Sa’eed Hospital when suddenly there was a massive explosion, followed by a second one. We rushed straight to the scene, where we found a large number of children lying on the ground, women screaming, and young people running to rescue the injured. At a time like this, children are usually outside their homes playing and having fun,” Yusuf Akasha, an eyewitness, said.
Footage shows injured children receiving treatment in the hospital, while ambulances arrive and more injured children and adults are brought in.
Casualties Reported
“We were called to the site where Al-Yemen Al-Sa’eed Hospital had been targeted, and we attended to the casualties, where three people were killed and a number were injured,” Ambulance officer Ahmed al-Attar said.
According to Palestinian media, an Israeli fighter jet had struck the facility with two missiles.
The Israeli army had not commented on the specific incident at the time of publication.
Gaza War Continues
The war in Gaza began after the Hamas-led attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023, which killed 1,139 people and saw more than 200 others abducted.
Israel responded with a major military campaign in Gaza, involving airstrikes and a ground offensive.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said the campaign had killed 73,283 Palestinians and injured 173,864 others.
In January, the US envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, announced the launch of the second phase of Trump’s 20-point plan to end the conflict in Gaza, which includes a transition from a ceasefire to disarmament, the formation of a technocratic administration, and the start of reconstruction.
