BJP Celebrates Landmark Victory
Supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated outside the party headquarters in New Delhi on Monday after the party secured a major victory in West Bengal, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi joining the festivities in traditional attire.

The BJP’s win in West Bengal marks a significant political shift in the state, long considered a stronghold of the Trinamool Congress, with opposition leaders rejecting the outcome, alleging bias and irregularities and vowing a political comeback.
Scenes of Celebration and Support
Footage shows supporters drumming, dancing and waving flags outside BJP headquarters as senior party figures and Modi arrive, with officials addressing the crowd inside.
“Under the leadership of our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and under the leadership of honourable Home Minister Amit Shah, a huge victory has been achieved. Millions of workers are excited about this, and it is a wonderful victory,” said BJP supporter Syed Hesal Akthar.

Another backer, Aparna Jha, described Modi as central to the party’s momentum. “Modi ji is our pride and the sandalwood of India’s rising forehead. Seeing him, we are thrilled that India is shining on the world’s forehead and will continuously move towards progress,” she shared.
Election Outcome and Opposition Reaction
The BJP won more than 200 seats in West Bengal, crushing the Trinamool Congress and ending its dominance in the state assembly.

Opposition leader Mamata Banerjee rejected the result, calling it ‘immoral’ and accusing the electoral commission of bias, while insisting her party would regroup and continue its political fight.
