Turning Hobby Into Business
Rather than asking his parents for daily spending money after school, a young student in Malaysia spends his free afternoons riding around town with a sketchbook stuffed into his front bike basket.
He pedals through local neighborhood streets to offer hand-drawn anime sketches to neighbors and people passing by. It is his way of turning a casual drawing habit into a real small-scale operation so he can earn cash on his own terms.
Budding Artist Shares His Passion
A passing motorcyclist pulled over on the curb to ask what he had in the basket. Without hesitation, the kid reached right in and pulled out a thick sketchbook packed with pencil drawings.
He showed off detailed art of popular characters like Goku and Gojo while explaining how his prices work. Completed drawings cost two Ringgit. But if he feels a sketch lacks detail or falls short of his own standards, he drops the price down to a single Ringgit right then and there.
Honest Effort Earns Local Support
Liking the kid’s honesty, the rider picked out a couple of drawings to buy. Once the cash changed hands, the boy offered a traditional salam, briefly pressing the buyer’s hand against his forehead as a sign of respect.
The student explained that he usually hangs out at his grandmother’s place after school until his mom finishes her work shift. He uses all that downtime to draw new pages for his book and build up his personal savings.
Upbringing Inspires Online Praise
The video picked up traction online fast, with comment sections filling up with compliments about the boy’s character.
His parents eventually dropped into the comments, sharing the core lesson taught at home: manners come way before knowledge, because carrying real respect will open doors wherever life takes you. With the purchase finished, the boy put his sketchbook back in the basket, wished the rider well, and pedaled off down the street.
