The Singapore Film Society (SFS) will present the Singapore
Gala Premiere of MOJOKU HILANG!, a heartwarming Malaysian romantic comedy directed by
Min Lim, at Golden Village Bugis+ on 30 July at 7pm. The film will open in selected Singapore
cinemas from 31 July.

Told in Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Indonesia and English, MOJOKU HILANG! is a warm and
humorous celebration of family, community and the shared cultural connections of Southeast
Asia.
The film follows Adi, an ambitious young executive at Moo Magic Dairy, whose career is thrown
into jeopardy when the company’s prized heifer and viral mascot, Mojo, disappears. His search
takes him to Kampung Semerah Padi, a remote village in northern Malaysia and one of the
country’s last communities of independent dairy farmers.

Sent to recover Mojo and persuade the villagers to sell their land, Adi instead finds himself
reconnecting with the rural world he left behind—and with Ayu, a spirited young farmer
determined to protect her family’s heritage. What follows is a heartfelt story about love, sacrifice,
belonging and the meaning of success.
Shot on location in Perlis, MOJOKU HILANG! marks the feature directorial debut of Min Lim,
Executive Producer of the award-winning Asian adaptation of The Bridge for HBO and Viu. The
film is produced by Mocha Chai Laboratories and Double Vision, with Astro Shaw handling
distribution in Malaysia and SC Films International representing the film worldwide. Singapore
Film Society is behind the film’s cinema distribution in Singapore.

The pan-Southeast Asian cast is led by Indonesian actor Adipati Dolken and Malaysian actress
Mimi Lana. They are joined by veteran Malaysian actor Wan Hanafi Su, whose credits include
Singapore’s 2017 Academy Awards submission Apprentice, as well as Dato Tamimi Siregar,
Tony Eusoff, Ayu Dyah Pasha and Namron.
Director Min Lim said: “Mojoku Hilang! draws inspiration from Aidiladha, the Muslim Festival of
Sacrifice, but at its heart are values that transcend culture and religion—faith, sacrifice, love and
community. I wanted to make a film that reminds us that true success is not measured only by
what we achieve, but by the people we choose to stand beside. I hope audiences leave the
cinema feeling a little more hopeful.”

Kenneth Tan, Chairman of SFS, said: “We are delighted to bring this charming and beautifully
performed film to Singapore audiences. Its humour, warmth and emotional honesty will resonate
with moviegoers across cultures and generations, and we look forward to giving more
audiences the opportunity to discover and support the film.”
Co-Producer Michelle Chang said: “Singapore audiences embrace stories not because of where
they come from, but because of how deeply they move us. Although Mojoku Hilang! is set in
rural Malaysia, its humour, heart and themes of family, identity and belonging are universal.”
The invitation-only Gala Premiere will take place at Golden Village Bugis+ on 30 July, with
director Min Lim and lead actors Adipati Dolken and Mimi Lana in attendance.

Public screenings will begin on 31 July at selected Singapore cinemas. Tickets will be available
through Golden Village at www.gv.com.sg, with the on-sale date starting 23 July. SFS
members will enjoy a discounted ticket price.
