A Knock at the Door
A member of the Indonesian Navy is suspected of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old teenager in Situbondo, East Java and will be investigated.

The sailor, known as Private MR, allegedly went to the victim’s home as if he was a parcel delivery man. The teen, who was identified as DN, allegedly opened the door to receive a delivery.
What happened next was caught on a security camera.
Footage Spreads Fast
The recording quickly made its way into social media and quickly went viral. The alleged assault was not all that people were discussing. The use of a courier disguise to approach the house was also a surprise to many.

The clip was soon being shared all over various platforms within a few minutes. Anger and disbelief were the reactions from the comments. Others said this was the worst delivery of the year! Others said this meant the allegations were taken seriously!
Questions Over Conduct
The attention that came online eventually resulted in broad scrutiny of the case. The suspect, a Private MR aged 21, was reportedly stationed in Surabaya, reports identified the suspect.

Private is the lowest rank in the Indonesian military. Despite this, numerous online have asserted that military service should come with more than a standard as a result of the duties of the uniform.
As the conversation was still ongoing, there were increasingly demands for an official response.
Investigation Now Underway
The Indonesian Navy has announced that the case will be investigated. The outcome of the investigation and any further legal action has yet to be announced.

The facts are under review for the time being. It is certain that a case that started at the front door of a house in Situbondo has escalated to a national discourse, with a video that has kept on circulating online playing a big role.
