Born Prematurely At 30 Weeks

Baby Jaxton was never supposed to arrive this early.

The little boy was born prematurely at just 30 weeks gestation after his mother unexpectedly went into labour on 14 May. Before his parents could reach a Singaporean local hospital, Jaxton was delivered inside an ambulance.

His arrival came nearly 10 weeks before his due date. According to his family, the pregnancy had been progressing smoothly. They were preparing for their baby’s arrival and even planning to return to Malaysia before the due date.

However, everything changed suddenly when Jaxton’s mother experienced bleeding and contractions that led to premature labour.

Intensive Care Needed

Because he was born so early, Jaxton requires specialised neonatal care and close medical monitoring. He is currently receiving treatment inside an incubator, where doctors and nurses are helping him continue developing safely.

Instead of bringing their newborn son home, Jaxton’s parents now spend their days travelling to the hospital to visit him. His mother continues pumping milk daily and bringing it to the hospital while waiting for the day she can finally carry her son home.

S$130k Needed For Medical Expenses

The emotional stress of seeing their son in intensive care has been overwhelming for Jaxton’s parents. The family is also facing significant medical expenses.

According to the fundraiser, the estimated cost of Jaxton’s hospitalisation, neonatal intensive care and ongoing treatment could reach approximately S$130,000.

As ordinary Malaysians working in Singapore, the family never expected to face such a large financial burden. They have since turned to crowdfunding to help cover the costs of Jaxton’s treatment and recovery.

Fundraising For Baby Jaxton

Jaxton’s fundraiser on Give.Asia has raised more than S$3,500 so far from over 100 donors.

All funds raised will be managed through Give.Asia and paid directly to the hospital for treatment purposes.

The family says their greatest wish is to see Jaxton continue growing stronger, leave the incubator one day and finally come home safely.

More Than 100 Donors Have Contributed

More than 100 people have already donated towards Jaxton’s medical care. Many supporters have stepped forward to help give the premature baby a stronger chance at recovery.

Despite the challenges he faces, baby Jaxton continues fighting every day.

Please give baby Jaxton a chance to grow up healthy and strong.

If you can, please donate. If you can’t, do help spread the word.
