A community fitness walk sparked by TikTok creator @bloodpunches is gaining attention online, not only for its turnout, but for what it represented.
In a video shared after the event, the creator revealed that while 170 people had signed up, only around 50 showed up. Still, he described it as something more meaningful than numbers.

“Because this wasn’t about numbers — it was about the people who chose to come through, show up, and walk it together,” he wrote.
From 92 Sign-Ups to a Real-World Movement
The idea began weeks earlier, when 92 people initially expressed interest in joining what was later named the “Walk of Pride.” Planned for 3 May 2026, participants were asked to gather at Casuarina Prata House in Upper Thomson at 7am, before setting off on a 10km walk.

The concept was simple. There would be no pressure, nor judgement.
“You don’t need to be ready. You just need to start,” the creator shared ahead of the event.
10KM, Different Paces, Same Mindset
Footage from the walk shows a diverse group turning up — people of different ages, fitness levels, and even individuals with disabilities.

Some appeared seasoned and fit, others clearly at the beginning of their journeys. But the tone remained consistent throughout.

Participants were seen encouraging one another, laughing through the tougher stretches, and finishing the 10km route together.
“Different paces, same mindset,” the caption read.
A Personal Journey Behind the Movement
At the centre of it is Haresh, whose transformation journey became part of the story behind the walk.
According to @bloodpunches, Haresh began his fitness journey under his guidance through Sculpt, a community-driven initiative focused on showing up consistently.
In an earlier post, the creator highlighted Haresh’s progress:
205kg → 189.65kg — a 16kg loss.

But the emphasis was not just on weight.
“This is showing up on the days you don’t want to. Choosing change when it hurts,” he wrote.

Previously, a video by Vicky demonstrating Haresh walking through a public area with his shirt taken off had gone viral.

Haresh encountered looks and stares as he walked past, but the move was more than just a public spectacle, it was a display of Haresh’s strength, of the courage he possessed to stop hiding himself.
More Than Just a Walk
The group had initially imagined a large crowd walking together, ending at Tekka Market — not just as a destination, but as a statement. A visible, moving crowd meant to inspire others.
“Encouraging each other, laughing through the struggle, and finishing strong as one.”
Despite the gap between sign-ups and attendance, the creator framed the event as a success.
“Honestly… that’s what made it special,” he said.
The smaller group allowed for stronger connections, more conversations, and a shared sense of purpose.
A Growing Culture of Showing Up
Fitness communities built through social media are increasingly moving offline — turning likes and comments into real-world action.
The Walk of Pride reflects that shift as not a walk of shame, but a walk of showing up.
And for those who came through, that first step may have mattered more than any number.
