“Karuppu” has now crossed the RS 200 crore mark at the worldwide box office, making it the highest grossing movie for actor Suriya.
The movie, which collected RS 147 crore within three days of release, has now accumulated RS 207 crore. This means that it is the first time a Suriya-starrer has entered the RS 200 crore club within a week.

The actor, who spoke to the media recently, said that the film was completely director RJ Balaji’s vision, which he completely trusted.
“I haven’t decided on a film so quick in the recent past. The decision to go ahead with it was taken within 30 to 45 minutes. Everything seemed to be perfect that day,” he said.

He continued, “Every film is made with faith. But with this film, everything went right from day one because of Dream Warriors’ support. And, Karuppusamy, who guided us along the way.”
Suriya added that the reception has been unexpected.
