“So Many Dead Insects on the Bed!” – Woman Horrified at Four Points Desaru

A disturbing discovery

Staying at Four Points by Sheraton at Desaru Hotel, in Kota Tinggi, Johor, should have been a pleasant experience, but room 431 had a shocking surprise for one guest from Singapore. Ada Loo, known for her TikTok account Ada Loo’s Diary (@adaloo101), documented the unsettling condition of her room. The video starts with her showing the hallway outside her hotel room and the room number before entering. Upon stepping inside, she remarks that it “looks okay,” suggesting it appears decent at first glance.

Uninviting bed and hygiene concerns

However, upon closer inspection, Ada found multiple dead insects on one of the beds. “Not one, not two, not three,” she exclaimed, clearly disturbed by the sight. The condition of the bed was unacceptable, with numerous dead insects scattered across it.

Ada’s frustration was evident. “Aiyo, my goodness, so many dead insects on the bed. My goodness me, how to sleep, so dirty,” she lamented. The oversight in cleanliness was obvious, raising serious hygiene concerns. “Aiyo, they never check the room one leh,” she added, questioning the hotel’s maintenance standards.

Unacceptable service

Paying over 200 SGD for the room, Ada expected basic cleanliness and comfort. Instead, she was appalled by the state of the bed. She questioned how the hotel could let guests sleep in such conditions and expressed her frustration by pointing out the high cost of the room. Concluding her remarks, Ada repeatedly emphasized how “very, very bad” the situation was, emphasizing her deep disappointment.

Ada’s comment section was filled with mixed reactions as a user mentioned staying at the hotel just recently and had no issues with the hotel.

Some just simply advised her to change rooms and mentioned that this incident happens only when the windows are left open.

Another user just wished her stay was better after this incident.

Hotel Response and Resolution

In response to the viral video, the hotel reached out to Ada the following day to apologize for the issues she faced. In her update video, Ada shared that they offered a complimentary room for a future stay, which she chose to decline.

She expressed appreciation for Mr. Ama’s polite apology and thanked the housekeeping staff for addressing the bed’s condition. Despite the initial discomfort, Ada was able to enjoy her time in Desaru.
