A British woman surprised her sister by bringing back a unique food souvenir from her trip to Singapore. Instead of buying traditional gifts like fridge magnets or keychains, she decided to pack a famous local dish called mutton murtabak. She carried the food inside her bag during a long 14-hour flight back to the United Kingdom.
The Special Delivery
The traveler arrived home early in the morning while her sister was still sleeping. She spent her own money to buy the dish and carefully wrapped it to keep it safe during the journey.

Murtabak is a popular stuffed flatbread in Singapore, filled with spiced meat, eggs, and onions. The woman explained that she wanted her sister to experience the real taste of Singaporean cuisine.
When her sister woke up, she was shocked to see the unexpected gift from Asia. The two sisters quickly prepared the food for breakfast.

They heated the murtabak in a cooking pan to make the flatbread crispy again. They also served it with fried eggs, traditional curry, and spicy sambal sauce on the side.
A Great Success
The unique food experiment was very successful. Both sisters enjoyed the meal and finished every bite. The sister said it was the best savory breakfast she had ever eaten.
The traveler was happy that the local Singaporean dish stayed fresh and delicious after the long international flight.

Singapore is famous around the world for its rich food culture. Local food stalls sell high-quality, delicious meals that visitors love.
This story shows how Singapore’s famous street food can connect people across different countries. Many tourists now prefer to share authentic food experiences with their families instead of buying ordinary plastic gifts.
