An Animal Adventure in Seri Kembangan

If you’re looking for a relaxing and fun way to spend the school holidays with your family, Farm In The City in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, might just be the perfect spot. 

This petting zoo is set in a kampung-style environment where animals aren’t kept in cages. They wander freely in open, natural spaces.

Children (and adults too) can get up close with more than 150 types of animals, from cuddly alpacas and curious raccoons to giant tortoises, colourful birds, and many more.

A Fun Break for the Whole Family

From 29 May to 9 June 2025, the farm will be open every day for the school holidays.

During this period, there’ll be hands-on nature activities for the kids, plenty of chances to feed the animals, and lots of photo spots to capture those moments.

A Living Outdoor Classroom

Besides animal encounters, Farm In The City features over 60 species of plants and vegetables, making it a great place for kids to learn about agriculture and biodiversity in a fun and interactive way. 

Opening Hours and Tickets

The park operates on the following schedule:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 10 am – 6 pm

  • Saturday & Sunday: 9:30 am – 6 pm

  • Closed on Tuesdays (except during school holidays)

Tickets can be purchased in advance through their official website or at the walk-in counter. 

Online bookings must be made at least one day ahead, while spontaneous visits can go through the walk-in ticket counter.

Ticket prices for non-Malaysians are as follows:

  • Adult: RM58 (approx. S$17.56)

  • Children and senior citizens: RM48 (approx. S$14.53)

Tickets are also available on Klook.

How to Get There from Singapore (By Car)

Estimated travel time: 4 hr 14 min (approx. 359 km)

  • Start from Woodlands, Singapore

  • Enter Malaysia via the Second Link Expressway (Tuas Checkpoint)

  • Continue on Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan (E2)
  • Exit onto Lebuhraya Lembah Klang Selatan (E26)

  • Take the E26 exit to Lebuhraya Putrajaya-Cyberjaya / Route 29

  • Continue via Jalan Puchong–Kajang and Jalan Putra Permai

  • Turn into Jalan Prima Tropika and arrive at Farm In The City, Seri Kembangan

  • Bomb Battle: Paint, Lasers, and Heart-Pounding Missions Await at Berjaya Times Square, KL!

Step into Malaysia’s First Indoor Escape Arena

If you’re planning a quick getaway this school holiday, Bomb Battle at Berjaya Times Square Mall in Kuala Lumpur is worth the drive. 

Tucked away on Level 7 of the mall’s East Wing, this all-in-one indoor attraction brings together escape room challenges, neon paint battles, and adrenaline-pumping missions under one roof.

Just across the border from Singapore, Kota Tinggi Firefly Park offers a quiet, magical experience for anyone looking to unwind. 

Set along the calm Johor River, the park gives visitors a rare chance to see thousands of fireflies lighting up the riverbanks. 

Whether you are with family, friends, or a partner, this peaceful boat ride under the night sky is something you won’t forget.

A Natural Light Show Worth Seeing

The Johor River is one of the few natural breeding areas for fireflies in Malaysia. On the boat ride, fireflies can be seen blinking and glowing in the trees along the water.

The park is open daily from 1 PM to 11 PM, with the best views usually after sunset. 

Do note that ticket prices can vary depending on where you book. 

On Klook, tickets are listed at RM 26 (approx. S$7.83), while the park’s official website lists admission as RM 25 (approx. S$7.53) for adults and RM 15 (approx. S$4.51) for children.

How to Get There from Singapore?

The firefly park is located at Jalan Kota Tinggi, Kota Tinggi, Johor Darul Ta’zim.

From Singapore (Woodlands) to Kota Tinggi Firefly Park:

  • Start at Woodlands Avenue 2, Singapore

  • Head toward Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE)

  • Take the Seletar Expressway exit toward Johor (cross-border into Malaysia)

In Malaysia:

  • Join Bukit Timah Expressway → switch to EDL/AH2

  • Continue on Jalan Pandan (Federal Route 3 / AH18)

  • Exit toward Taman Desa Tebrau in Johor Bahru

  • Continue to Ulu Tiram via Jalan Harmonium and Jalan Gaya

  • Stay on Federal Route 3 / Jalan Kota Tinggi

  • Arrive at Kota Tinggi Firefly Park

The KL International Book Fair (PBAKL) is happening from Friday, 23 May to Sunday, 1 June 2025, at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur. It is open daily from 10 am to 10 pm.

  • Continue along AH2 and the North-South Expressway (E2) into Kuala Lumpur

A Three-Day Festival Set in the Rainforest

The Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) returns from 20 to 22 June 2025, bringing three days of music, culture, and nature to the Sarawak Cultural Village in Kuching, Sarawak!

Set at the foot of Mount Santubong, the festival is known for its scenic rainforest setting and vibrant atmosphere.

Workshops, Music, and Evening Performances

During the day, visitors can join music workshops, watch cultural showcases, browse craft displays, and sample local food. 

As night falls, the festival comes alive with concerts featuring both traditional and modern music from around the world.
