Tamil producer Ratanlal Bhagatram Choudary (aka RB Choudary) was revealed to have been killed in a recent car crash in Rajasthan.
It was reported on 5 May that Choudary was travelling with his nephew after attending a wedding, and that the car lost control and crashed into a roadside wall. The news has sent shockwaves across the Tamil film industry.

Known as one of the prominent figures in South Indian cinema, Choudary founded the production and distribution company Super Good Films in 1988, and went on to produce more than 100 films including 1997’s “Suryavamsam,” 2001’s “Aanandham,” and 2014’s “Jilla”.
He is also the father of actor Jiiva.
In related news, actor-turned-politician Vijay was recently seen visiting Jiiva at the funeral following the news. He can be seen approaching Jiiva and hugged him tightly as the actor cried on his shoulder, showing solidarity in time of grief.
