Two M’sian Men Brawl in Sabah Lottery Shop Over Forgotten Jackpot Ticket

A shocking fight broke out between two friends at a Sandakan Turf Club 4D (STC 4D) lottery outlet in Donggongon, Penampang, Sabah, on December 29, 2024, after a missed opportunity to claim a jackpot prize.

The altercation, caught on video, has since gone viral on social media.

A Fortune Lost, Tempers Flare

The incident unfolded after the two men, having finished a drinking session, visited the lottery outlet to check the results.

According to Daily Express, one of them realized that the winning grand prize number matched a number they had discussed days earlier.

The situation turned tense when his friend reportedly forgot to buy the ticket.

This sparked an argument that quickly escalated into a physical fight, with punches and kicks flying as stunned bystanders and customers looked on.

Bystanders Watch as Chaos Unfolds

A video of the fight, originally shared on Instagram by @/jordan.l99 and later reposted on X, shows the two men engaging in a heated scuffle.

Most bystanders appeared hesitant to intervene, simply watching the scene unfold.

However, as the fight intensified, one brave individual stepped forward and managed to separate the men, finally bringing the chaos to an end.

Social Media Backlash and Lessons Learned

The video quickly gained traction online, drawing thousands of views and sparking a debate.

While many sympathized with the man’s frustration over losing a jackpot, the overwhelming sentiment was that violence is never justified.

The STC 4D lottery allows players to bet on numbers between 0000 and 9999, with 23 winning numbers drawn in each session.

Matching the drawn numbers can yield significant prizes, adding to the frustration caused by the oversight, as reported by NST.
