Manchester City closed the gap at the top of the Premier League to three points after defeating leaders Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, with a game in hand adding more drama to the title race.
Footage shows City players arriving to a strong reception from home fans.
City manager Pep Guardiola struck a cautious tone after the win, urging his players to remain grounded.
“That game gave us hope, that’s all. But what I said to the guys after the game was: enjoy the moment, but don’t lose focus right now because we still have the last three or four weeks ahead,” he said.
“Who is top of the league? We are not. Goal difference, who is better? They are. So step by step. But of course, we still have hopes to extend our chances to fight until the end,” he added.
Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta acknowledged the setback but insisted the title race remains open.
“They have a game in hand, we have a 3-point advantage and five games to play. Everything is still to play for. We know how much we want it, and we are not going to stop, we will go again, that’s for sure,” he said.
City secured victory through goals from Rayan Cherki and Erling Haaland, while Kai Havertz pulled one back for Arsenal after capitalising on a mistake by Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The result intensifies the title race, with City now within striking distance and momentum shifting as the season enters its final weeks.
