In a daring act of bravery, a young man in Kajang Utama, Malaysia, risked his life to rescue two rabbits trapped in a cage as a fire threatened to engulf the house. The tense rescue, captured on video and shared widely on social media platforms, has garnered praise for the man’s heroic act.
A Close Call with the Flames
The video shows the man working urgently to free the rabbits from a cage that was dangerously close to the advancing flames. Equipped with what seemed to be pliers, he managed to cut open the wires underneath the cage, allowing his hand to go through, and successfully pulled one rabbit to safety.
However, the second rabbit added to the challenge. Just as the man saved the first rabbit, the other one dashed to the opposite side of the cage in fear, making it difficult for him to reach it. The frightened animal’s sudden movement added to the tension of the moment.
A Happy Outcome
Despite the added difficulty, and not caught in the video, the man remained focused and was able to eventually coax the second rabbit out of the cage and into safety. A photo shared at the end of the video confirmed that both rabbits were unharmed and safe.
The video has since gone viral, with many commending the man’s bravery and his unwavering determination to save the animals despite the dangerous situation.
Comments and reactions
This video had netizens reacting with a mix of gratitude, admiration, and humor.
One commenter expressed heartfelt thanks, saying, “Thank you, kind person.. Only God can repay your kindness.. You didn’t let the rabbit burn. You were willing to endure the heat. Once again, thank you, kind person.” emphasizing the selflessness of the man who went out of their way to save the rabbit.
Another netizen remarked, “If there was a medal.. he deserves it.” They felt that the person’s heroic actions were worthy of formal recognition.
Adding a touch of humor, one user pointed out, “Hey, even that one. Someone tried to save it, and it ran away. Does it want to become a roasted rabbit?”
