A heartwarming video has captured the attention of thousands online after a kind food delivery rider stopped his work to help an elderly man in a wheelchair. The heartwarming moment happened on a bustling street in the vicinity of a shopping mall, where the elderly person was walking down the street with difficulty.
The poignant scene unfolded on a crowded street, near a shopping center, as the elderly man walked along the pavement, struggling to make his way.
An Unexpected Act of Kindness
The video shows a man in a green uniform and a safety helmet riding a motorcycle. He noticed that an old man was in a wheelchair and that he was very tired and could not make it up a small slope. The delivery cyclist pulled over without giving it a second thought and pulled his motorcycle to the side of the road.
The rider hurried towards the elderly man and addressed him in a courteous manner. Then he stood behind the wheelchair and slowly moved him across the street to safety. For several minutes he ensured that the senior citizen was able to come to comfortable and flat ground under a green tree where he could rest from the hot sun.
Protecting from the Heat
The kind rider didn’t stop there. The delivery rider noticed that the old man wasn’t feeling comfortable since it was very warm. Therefore, he moved the old man into the shade to protect him from direct and intense sunlight. He stayed with the senior citizen for a while. He talked to him and made sure he was completely fine before leaving.
After making sure the elderly man was safe and comfortable, the rider quietly walked back to his motorcycle. He picked up his green delivery bag, started his vehicle, and returned to his daily job of delivering food.
Praise for the Rider
Many people who watched the clip online felt very touched by the young man’s actions. They spoke highly of the delivery boy. He had put aside his deliveries to help a helpless person.
The video was soon seen all over social media. Numerous people posted it to commemorate the rider’s action. The gesture was a reminder to viewers that they too can make a great difference to a stranger.
