In a remarkable display of medical heroism, Dr. Priya saved the life of a 60-year-old man who suffered a sudden heart attack at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 2. The incident occurred in the Terminal 2 food court and was captured on video.
Swift Action Amid Crisis
The videos, initially shared by social media user Rishi Bagree on ‘X’, depict the doctor swiftly performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to revive the unconscious man.
According to Bagree’s account, the doctor’s prompt response succeeded in reviving the man within a mere five minutes, highlighting the exceptional skill and dedication of medical professionals.
The first video captures the urgency of the situation as the doctor diligently administers chest compressions, urgently calling for assistance from airport staff. In the subsequent footage, viewers witness the moment when the man regains consciousness under the doctor’s quick actions.
Dr. Priya’s Response
Speaking to ANI, Dr. Priya reflected on the incident, stating, “No one can take God’s place.” She described the situation, mentioning that she was in the food court at Delhi Airport when the elderly man suddenly collapsed. Along with her husband and another doctor couple, Dr. Priya quickly performed CPR. She noted, “We immediately performed CPR and within about five minutes, he turned responsive. His breathing and pulse had started.”
Dr. Priya highlighted the critical role of CPR in emergencies, saying, “CPR is used when the heartbeat stops and blood flow ceases… Irreversible damage can begin if CPR is not administered quickly.”

The viral video, which has already gathered over 12.5 million views, has struck a chord across social media platforms, drawing widespread praise for the doctor’s bravery and skill. It shows the critical importance of CPR training and readiness in effectively responding to health emergencies.
