Roscosmos Cosmonauts Install New ISS Telescope
Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergei Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev installed the Sun-Terahertz radio telescope on the exterior of the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday.

Footage shows the cosmonauts securing the scientific equipment to the craft.
Telescope To Study Solar Activity
Roscosmos explained that the instrument is intended for observing the Sun in the previously unexplored terahertz range of electromagnetic radiation.

Roscosmos added that the device would help obtain more detailed data on the formation of solar flares, improve the accuracy of space weather forecasts and reduce risks to equipment and other infrastructure.
