Iranian President Rejects Claims of Seeking More From US
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Thursday that his country “wants nothing from the United States,” stressing that Tehran seeks only its “legal rights under international law” and does not intend to go beyond that framework.

“If the world claims to stand for what is right, then it should treat us according to international law,” the president said in an address in Tehran on Thursday.
Pezeshkian made the remarks during a surprise visit to Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, where he attended a meeting with representatives of trade unions and merchants to discuss recent market developments and assess the economic impact of the war.
Pezeshkian Praises National Unity Amid External Pressure
In his speech, the Iranian president claimed that certain parties sought to ‘break the country apart’ by creating pressure that would push the Iranian people into unrest. He praised what he described as national unity in thwarting the ‘enemy’s plans’.
“If we’ve lasted this long, it’s because of our unity and cohesion […] we have only one choice, either stand with the people or surrender to the enemy. We will stand with the people and will not bow our heads,” he added.

Pezeshkian also referred to a recent meeting with Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, saying the two spoke for nearly two and a half hours and describing him as a ‘sincere and humble person’.
Iran Reviews Possible Deal With Washington
According to reports, Washington and Tehran are close to reaching a one-page understanding aimed at ending the conflict.
On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump stated, “We are achieving very good results in Iran; it is going smoothly, and we will see what happens. They want to negotiate and make a deal.”
Iran’s Foreign Ministry later confirmed that Tehran is reviewing the offer and will deliver its response through Pakistan.
