Missiles Target US Base
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard released video on Wednesday that it said showed ballistic missiles roaring towards a US airbase and command centre in Jordan.
Footage shows missiles blasting into the night sky, while a message is written across one of the munitions reading: “We are fighting to eliminate the aggressor enemy, while revenge and seeking retaliation are a different matter.”

The location and timing of the footage could not be independently verified.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had “targeted the US Army air base and the Central Command headquarters in Jordan with several ballistic missiles.”
Defences Intercept Missile Barrage
It claimed the attack was launched “in response to the aggressive acts committed by the US army against children.”
US Central Command said its forces had ‘successfully intercepted’ several ballistic missiles launched by the IRGC “in an attempt to carry out a surprise attack on US forces stationed in the Middle East.”

Meanwhile, Jordan’s military announced that its air defences had intercepted and destroyed “five missiles coming from Iran.”
The missile barrage shattered a brief pause in the rapidly escalating confrontation between Washington and Tehran.
Tensions Rise Again
The US has launched a series of strikes on targets across Iran in recent days, with Tehran hitting back at American bases across the region.
US President Donald Trump later said he had frozen further attacks on Iran “based on a request from mediators to give talks a chance.” But he warned that the US could return to “strong military action” if negotiations collapse.
Iran and the United States signed a memorandum of understanding on June 17, setting out a ceasefire framework and opening the way for negotiations in Switzerland.
The two sides later accused each other of breaking the agreement, leaving the fragile truce in tatters.
