Another day, another filming tragedy in India, as one died and four others injured after a gas cylinder exploded during the filming of SJ Suryah’s new film, “Killer”.

The incident occurred at the Binny Mills complex in Perambur on 3 June, with the police identifying the deceased victim as 25-year-old stunt technician Madhan of Maduravoyal.
Meanwhile, the four other injured victims were moved to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital for treatment.
It was reported that Madhan was killed on the spot in the explosion, which occurred during a shoot of a bomb blast scene.

“The team had been filming the pre-climax stunt scene on a set at Binny Mills for the past three nights… The mishap happened while the team was working on the cylinders, which led to the explosion at around 5.30am. SJ Suryah was also present at the spot when the accident happened,” said a source.
In the upcoming movie. SJ Suryah returns as both director and lead actor after a decade, with music composed by A.R. Rahman.
