A man in China was injured after placing his head inside the mouth of a lifelike dinosaur model at a public park. The unusual incident happened earlier this month at Beihu Wetland Park and quickly drew attention due to the risky action.
Incident at Popular Park Attraction
The event took place on 7 April while the man was visiting the park, which features displays of large prehistoric creatures. As he walked through the attraction, he moved close to one of the dinosaur models. The structure was designed to look realistic, with sharp teeth and a wide-open mouth.

According to witnesses, the man leaned forward and placed his head inside the model’s mouth. At first, it appeared to be a playful act. But this was soon altered as he failed to draw his head back out.
Fight to get free
The man got entangled in the model, and he started panicking. A video camera recorded him attempting to loosen himself by bending forward. The dinosaur was hard to move due to its mechanical structure.

To get away, he utilized the jaws with both hands and forced them to open. With a little effort he succeeded in drawing out his head. He did not sustain any serious injuries but sustained minor bruises and scratches on his neck by the sharp edges of the teeth of the model.
Park Regulations and Safety Precautions
Following the accident, the management at the park has justified that there were safety signs around the dinosaur display area. These marks clearly inform tourists not to get too close to the models any time.
Employees also reported that they are not supposed to climb on, touch, or move the displays. The models are built for viewing only and are not designed for physical contact.
Minor Injuries Reported
The man did not need hospital treatment, as his injuries were minor. Nevertheless, the case also served as a reminder of the potential dangers in case safety regulations are ignored.

Beihu Wetland Park is a popular park, particularly among families and children. The dinosaur models are still a source of attraction that attracts visitors, yet they remain hard structures that might inflict injuries when handled in a dangerous manner.
