5 May – It was celebration all around as stars congratulated Vijay for the success of his political party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) in Tamil Nadu Election.
Following news that his party has won 107 seats including in places like Perambur and Trichy East, many of his colleagues took to social media to express their pride and joy, including Rajinikanth, who posted, “My congratulations to Thiru Vijay, President of the victorious Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, and to the members of his party, on their resounding victory in the recently concluded Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections.”
AR Rahman expressed, “Heartfelt congratulations to the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam! To our dear Mr. Vijay. Wishing you to rise and flourish as an exemplary leader who will take Tamil Nadu to the forefront, championing corruption-free politics, social justice, and equality. With a political culture that rejects divisions and celebrates Tamil and Tamils, may your endeavour to transform Chennai into a city brimming with art and prosperity shine brightly!”
On the other hand, Venkat Narayana of KVN Productions, whose movie “Jana Nayagan” starring Vijay has yet to be released, posted, “Heartiest congratulations to our ‘Jana Nayagan’, Thalapathy Vijay sir, on scripting history today against all odds. It is indeed a revolution and one that will echo for generations to come.”
