The annual Boryeong Mud Festival has returned, transforming the stunning shores along Daecheon Beach into a colossal playground filled with energy and excitement.

Kicking off its 17-day run on Friday, this beloved event draws large crowds of both domestic and international visitors eager to engage in mud-themed activities.

creating a contagious atmosphere of pure joy. Many attendees have shared their ecstatic experiences, highlighting the thrilling and unique activities available.

Festivalgoers Share Excitement

“This is my first time here. There are so many fun activities and the food is delicious. I’m really enjoying it!” said one excited tourist.

Another attendee, Zoe Lily, expressed her enthusiasm “It’s been really fun so far! We’ve tried a lot of attractions and games, meeting new people while covered in mud and enjoying fantastic performances.”

From Beauty To Global Event

As the festival runs until August 9, it promises a delightful mix of outdoor fun, wellness experiences, and beachside entertainment, showcasing the skincare benefits of Boryeong’s beloved mud.Since its inception in 1998 as a clever campaign to promote the region’s mineral rich cosmetic mud, the festival has evolved into a global summer celebration. 

Visitors are now swapping their standard beach gear for nutrient rich grey slime, indulging in signature attractions like mud wrestling, mud slides, and military style obstacle courses alongside water based activities and live performances.
