A viral plea for help
Azhar Jones is a student who was at his wits’ end just on 20 May 2022 when he lost his laptop. Amongst other things, he saved his assignments in his laptop.
Directly addressing the person who may have been in possession of his laptop, Azhar said:
I really hope you do the right thing and return it to me. I’m broke as fuck and all my assignments are in there. You can take anything else, but come on…
His emotional appeal for help caught the attention of many, who helped Azhar spread the message far and wide. Within 24 hours, his video garnered more than 300,000 views.

When he used the “Find My” app to locate his MacBook Air, the location stated was Block 295 Compassvale Lodge. This was close to where Azhar lost his MacBook, at 289 Compassvale Crescent.
Many TikTokers in the comments section helped boost the video by providing helpful tips on how to track the location of the MacBook. Some also commented on the video to help boost its reach.
In his emotional plea, he called upon the TikTok SG community to “help a dying student out”.
The return of the MacBook
A few hours after he posted his original plea, Azhar was contacted on Instagram by a lady. The lady informed Azhar that a woman was holding onto his laptop for him. Azhar was also referred to a Facebook post published in a group by a woman by the name of Issey, who was supposedly in possession of the laptop.
In the Facebook post, Issey asked anyone who knew Azhar to ask Azhar to contact her. After Issey verified Azhar’s identity, they exchanged contact numbers and met up in the afternoon of 21 May 2022. Just after he collected the laptop, he posted a short video against the soundtrack of Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic “SIUUUUUU” celebration.

In the 5 -second video, Azhar can be seen holding onto his grey laptop bag. He also thanked TikTok, and wrote that the story of how he found the laptop was “insane bro”. Naturally, this prompted many to ask Azhar to share his story.
Azhar opined that, if not for his TikTok video going viral, he would not have been reunited with his MacBook.
Replacing the Biscuits
Issey, did not only return Azhar’s latpop. She was also kind enough to replace the half-eaten pack of biscuits that he had in his bag with a new packet.
Azhar said that Issey was amazing, and he came away with the impression that Issey was a fun and bubbly person.

In the tail-end of his pleasantly chaotic video, he gave a shoutout to Miss Issey for her help. Thankfully for Azhar, he had his laptop, and his assignments, back in good condition. In the caption to his laterest post, Azhar wrote:-
