Police Report filed against Nazi Imagery in Van

Approximately 2 hours after a Redditor shared on r/Singapore that they sighted Nazi imagery on the dashboard of a van, they updated their post and informed the community that they have filed a police report. They also stated that an officer has contacted them.

A fellow Redditor applauded the person’s act of filing a police report as he actually did something instead of “just posting it online“.

A cap and a sticker with Nazi symbols

The OP shared 3 images to the subreddit, which we will examine in turn. The first image shows a parked van. On the left of the van’s dashboard, a black cap bearing a logo is visible. On the right of the windscreen, there are 3 stickers.

In the second image, you can see a Nazi symbol on the bottom right.

A redditor pointed out that this Nazi Swastika can easily be distinguished from other swastikas due to the red border, white circle, and the 45 degree tilt.

The third picture zooms in on the cap beside the Malay word for short.

There was little room for ambiguity as the cap spells out the name of the Nazi party in German.

According to Mothership, an incident involving a 15-year-old boy on a train who wore a Nazi armband was investigated by the police in 2020.

It is an offence under Section 298A of the Penal Code to commit an act prejudicial to maintenance of harmony. This act can be committed through words, signs or visible representations.
