A parking situation has caught attention after a woman appeared to be waiting beside a parking space, possibly saving it for someone else, before a blue electric sedan arrived and used its automated parking function.
The incident was captured from an elevated viewpoint overlooking a roadside parking area. Several vehicles and pedestrians can be seen around the parking spaces, while the woman remains near one of the spots.
From the footage, it appears that she may have been waiting for another person to arrive. However, the blue sedan reaches the area first, with its driver appearing to have priority simply by arriving with the vehicle.
Driver Steps Out Before Parking
Instead of remaining behind the wheel, the driver gets out of the blue sedan and appears to activate its automated parking function.
The vehicle then begins moving towards the parking space without the driver visibly sitting inside.
As the sedan slowly manoeuvres into position, the woman can be seen standing nearby and watching the vehicle.
The car adjusts its direction before moving into the marked parking area. The manoeuvre appears controlled and deliberate, suggesting that an automated parking system is being used rather than the vehicle simply rolling forward.
The woman continues watching as the sedan settles into the space.
At this point, she may have expected the car to leave again, particularly if she had been waiting for the space for someone else.
However, the vehicle remains parked.
The Driver Is No Longer Visible
After the sedan completes the manoeuvre, the woman appears to look towards the car again.
The driver is no longer visibly inside the vehicle, which makes the scene look particularly unusual from the camera’s viewpoint.
The footage also does not confirm whether the woman was officially holding the parking space for another driver.
Because of that, the exact circumstances behind the interaction remain unclear.
What can be seen is that the blue sedan arrived before the other vehicle the woman may have been waiting for and subsequently occupied the available parking space.
Who Gets The Parking Space?
The clip also highlights a familiar issue in busy parking areas: whether a person waiting beside a space can reasonably reserve it for another driver.
In ordinary circumstances, drivers would generally expect the vehicle that arrives first to take an available parking space. However, the footage does not provide enough information to determine whether any specific parking arrangement had been made beforehand.

Rather than seeing a conventional driver pull into the space, viewers are shown a blue sedan moving into position while nobody is visibly sitting behind the wheel.
The woman then appears to check the vehicle after it has parked, seemingly expecting it to move again.
Instead, the sedan remains in the space, leaving the circumstances open to interpretation and turning an otherwise routine parking moment into an unexpectedly memorable scene.
