Hollywood Actress Courteney Cox Admits Fillers Made Her Look “Really Strange”

There was a time in which cosmetic fillers slowly altered Courteney Cox’s appearance, and she wasn’t aware of how her face had shifted until she was able to compare earlier photos. In 2022, the actress, who was popular for starring in the television series Friends as Monica Geller, spoke about this in an interview with the Gloss Angeles Beauty Podcast.

Cox said that she didn’t start using fillers with the goal of changing her look drastically. Rather, the treatments continued slowly over time, and the smaller the adjustments, the more difficult they were to notice. She said that she was used to her face, which she would see each day, and so she didn’t really notice the changes at first.

You’re not aware that you look different, so you keep on doing more things; you’re normal.” “It’s kind of a domino effect,” Cox said during the podcast.

She saw things differently after a time of reflection.

Over time, the actress told the BBC that old photographs helped her to see just how much she had changed. Being able to see herself from another time gave her an insight into something that she had not seen in her daily mirror.

It was an unusual, honest experience, Cox said, finally realising she had overdone the treatments. Instead of undergoing any further procedures, she opted to dissolve most of the fillers. The decision was quite a departure from her cosmetic practice.

Once the fillers had dissolved, Cox reported that she felt like herself again when she looked in the mirror. Her remarks showed that it is hard to see how progressive cosmetic changes can be identified when they occur over a long period of time instead of in one swoop.

An honest article about the pressure in Hollywood.

Her remarks about the treatments she underwent for beauty also gave an inside scoop on her life in Hollywood over the years. The actress is best known for her role as Monica from Friends, which aired from 1994 to 2004, and is a staple in television and film for decades.

Medium-sized, Cox didn’t hold back from admitting her remorse when she began her treatments years ago. She admitted that she had fallen into a “domino effect” of change for change but knew that she had seen herself “before”.

Her choice to have the majority of the filler treatments reversed became a bigger debate about the cosmetic treatments and shifting aesthetic ideals in the entertainment field. But for Cox, it was personal, she said, as photographs helped her see the difference more clearly than when she looked at herself on a day-to-day basis.

Since then, Cox has been open about her age and appearance, as well as the scrutiny that can be put under her when she is photographed and when working in an industry that cares a lot about her appearance. Her 2022 discussion continues to be one of her most honest attempts to explain her reasons for not having made cosmetic changes.
