A Marathon of Thanks
On July 13, 2026,Syed Saddiq was at it again with his signature brand of extreme endurance. After six long years of legal battles, Syed Saddiq finally walked free. Instead of popping champagne or taking a well deserved nap, he decided the best way to celebrate his acquittal was by running 170 kilometers.
He is planning to start this journey at the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya and finish back home in Muar. It is a bold move that definitely beats just posting a simple status update on social media.
Why All The Running?
You might wonder why anyone would choose to run for four days straight just to say thank you. For Syed Saddiq, this trek is his way of showing love to the people who stood by him through all the court drama.
He mentioned that his voters gave him a second chance during the last election, and he wants to honor that loyalty. It is his way of proving he is still grounded and ready to get back to work for his district, even if his legs might be feeling the burn by the time he hits Sunday.
Fundraising For The Folks Back Home
This trip is not just about showing off his fitness or making a point to the justice system. The Muar Member of Parliament is using the event as a massive charity drive for his constituents.
He has set a goal to gather RM200,000 to buy tablets for students and stock up on groceries for families who are struggling to make ends meet. He even promised RM500,000 in scholarships. It is a smart way to turn a personal win into a real helping hand for the people who need it most.
Back To The Grind
Once the current parliamentary session wraps up, he will be lacing up his shoes to hit the road. This run marks a fresh start for him as he moves past the courtroom battles and dives back into his duties.
He is trading his suit for running gear to show that he is ready to face the road ahead. If he makes it to Muar by the weekend, it will be quite the homecoming for the man who refuses to quit.
